Just late night thoughts...

I can see the waxing gibbous moon hanging in the southwest through an auric veil of fog and the branches of a beloved redwood, and painfully my heart cries for Her... "Mother!"

If we're invested in doing the work of God and making sure indeed that the Priesthood authority is never taken from the Earth, wouldn't it make an awful lot of sense for it to be held by the ones who, as a group, are statistically the MOST likely to be devout, the most likely to use it to better humanity?  Haven't we proved ourselves MORE than capable of blessing and laboring even without it?

I've held onto the thought for years that men have the Priesthood in order to make them more like women: more devout, more serving, more compassionate and merciful.  I love that idea, but I need to reexamine it.  May the men just failed. Maybe the idea is wrong.  I don't know.

That's all for right now.  Good night.

  1. One thought is that maybe the absence of a mother is part of the reason why men are less devote. Didn't Margaret Toscano talk about how men really need mothers and women need fathers, of course we hear that all the time in regards to earthly mothers, why wouldn't the same application be towards a Heavenly Mother?

Thank you for wanting to leave me a message. I hope you've found something I've said edifying, and you'll extend the same to me. Please be positive, I'm not here to argue, but rather to just have a place to write things that I find spiritually uplifting, or share my own ponderings on matters of faith. Thank you.
